Day 1 - Arrive

Arrive anytime. There are no activities planned for today. Explore the neighbourhood of Ipanema, perched on the seafront with stunning sunsets and all of the cool bars and restaurants you could wish for.

Sugarloaf

Day 2 - Cable Car To Sugarloaf Mountain

Piercing the skyline of Urca at the mouth of Guanabara Bay stand Sugarloaf Mountain. Overlooking the many beaches, bays and mountainous outcrops of Rio, the cable car up slowly reveals just how stunning the soulful surroundings of Rio De Janeiro are.

If you're looking for a trendy neighbourhood full of chic bars try the nearby Botafogo after your Sugarloaf Adventure. Local Rio brewery Hocus Pocus have a very cool barn aesthetic bar in Botafogo and from Rua Nelson Mandela onwards you'll be spoilt for choice.

Escadariaselaron

Day 3 - Photoshoot Escadaria Selaron - Bar Crawl Lapa

Escadaria Selaron more colloquially known as a 'Selaron Steps' is a spectacular mosaic as colourful and varied as the city of Rio itself. Made as a tribute to the Brazilian people by Chilean-born artist Jorge Selaron are so vibrant they've attracted artists such as Michael Jackson and Snoop Dogg as a backdrop for music videos. The photoshoot will last around an hour and make sure you have stunning professional-grade pictures to remember your trip with.

As night falls head to the legendary nearby party central of Lapa in the Centro district. Live music with a Southern American soul, street food, parties pouring out into the streets and period colonial architecture make for a unique and authentically 'Brazilian' night out.

Parquelage

Day 4 - Free Day

Today is a free day. For golf enthusiasts, there's an 18 hole course near the beach in Sao Conrado at Gavea Golf Club. For beach lounging, Ipanema is one of Rio's best, Copacobana is the city's biggest and busiest vibrant beach and for something more serene try Barra de Tijuca beach. If you fancy yourself as a culture vulture, Parque Lage is a period manor with walking trails less than 25 minutes from Ipanema.

Bil See Christ The Redeemer Hero

Day 5 - Christ The Redeemer

Brazil's statue of Christ is, for some, the ultimate religious symbol. For others, irresistible tourist attraction. Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ that towers 2,310 feet above the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Crafted between 1922-1931, this statue is the largest art deco-style sculpture in the world. It has fascinated historians, experts and tourists for almost a hundred years. It is classed as one of the new Seven wonders of the World and is perched on the summit of Mount Corcovado.

Our tour guide will enlighten you to the roots of this statue, it's significance to the people of Rio and even provide tips on how to best capture it in your photos so you have photos that are awesome reminders of your time in Brazil for years to come.

Day 6 - Hang Gliding From Twin Brother Peaks

Take the skies and soar free as a bird from the lip of twin brothers peaks down to the landing strip... Sao Conrado beach! Our team have personally completed more than a dozen jumps in Rio and have handpicked Guilherme, a Brazilian Hang Gliding champion, and his team as your instructors!

All of the footage from the flights is included in the cost and you'll get stunning 4k footage of your flight to look back on and share with friends.

Favela

Day 7 - Favela Tour Vidigal

From the famous lookout point of Arpoador on the edge of Ipanema beach, you'll see a neighbourhood sprawl up into the lush hills of Rio's edge. Vidigal is the favela that overlooks Leblon and Ipanema, an area of poverty and difficulties that has created a unique sense of community that you won't find outside of such environments. Learn about the other side of Rio and hear stories of how the area is slowly climbing out of deprivation thanks to brilliant community initiatives instigated by the locals themselves. The vantage points overlooking the beach and the sea are stunning, but the real beauty here is in the stories and testimony of the residents.

Faq?

The vast majority of the holiday requires no real fitness. The only exercise required is the Pedra Da Gavea trail near the end of your stay. This can be done at your own pace, or if you'd like it removed from the itinerary you can contact us and we'll make adjustments for you.

The currency in Brazil is the Brazilian Reals. You can use ATM's in the country but the exchange rates and costs are not the most cost-effective means of travelling to Brazil. Withdraw and exchange money prior to coming or arrange an international card with your bank.

UK passport holders currently don't need a visa to Vietnam as you'll be given a visa on arrival.
