In Europe, the ski season generally runs from late November to the middle of April,However, this can vary considerably, with some destinations offering snow from as early as late September and all the way through till May, whilst a few, such as Zermatt, have limited runs open all year round.

Most resorts offer the hire of all necessary equipment, such as skis, boots and poles, so all you will need is plenty of warm clothing and eye protection.
