Follow ancestral trails through spectacular landscapes and ancient ruins, to reach the awe-inspiring 'Rose-Red City', one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
Head South from the Dana Reserve through otherworldly deserts and gorges, past Byzantine and Nabatean ruins and along lofty ridges; marvel at magnificent sunsets, and wonderfully clear skies, as you camp, Bedouin-style under a blanket of stars, before you eventually reach the breathtaking city of Petra.
You will be collected from Amman Airport and taken to your hotel where you will meet the rest of the group.
Transfer to Dana Village where you will meet your guides, before a relatively easy trek to the historic archaeological site of Wadi Feinan where you will begin your journey in earnest.
Trek through the arid desert landscapes passing through Byzantine ruins, to reach the spectacular desert canyon of Wadi Barwas, where you will camp for the night.
Following the ancient Bedouin trails, you will trek through the dry, rugged landscapes until you begin to notice sections of green, a sign that you have reached the lush valley of Reis al Feid.
Today is one of the most challenging, as it involves some steeper inclines, and unsteady paths, but it's also one of the most breathtaking, taking you through rugged mountain scenery (where you might spot an Ibex or two) to Shkaret Umseid.
Departing your campsite at Shkaret Umseid, you will quickly notice the dramatic change in landscapes, as the narrow wadis open out into otherworldly sandstone hills. Today's trek is smooth and straightforward, with wide, even pathways, and before long you will encounter the first hand-cut steps before you eventually reach the ancient Nabataean site Little Petra, which offers a spectacular taste of what is to come. From here, you will descend into Beidah, where you will spend the night.
The final leg of your trek leads you via a stunning clifftop trail to your viewpoint, where you will see your destination for the first time. After marvelling at the incredible sight you will make the descent into the ancient city where you will enjoy a guided tour of its spectacular landmarks.
After spending the night in the ancient city you will be driven by 4X4 back to Dana Village, enjoying views of the stunning scenery along the way. From Dana you will be transferred to Amman airport.

We offer pickups from Amman airport, Jordan.
We try our very best to ensure that every participant completes the challenge. However, if for any reason you are unable to finish, a safety vehicle will be on hand to pick you up.
