Hop onboard a traditional Greek motorised sailing boat for an action-packed adventure for the whole family.
We invite you and your family to join us on a traditional Greek Caique cruise across the Mediterranean's most pristine beaches, hidden hotspots and rugged cliff edged coastlines! We'll drop anchor and swim among terrapin turtles in the crystal clear azure waters of the Andean sea. Cruising around Evia we'll take excursions to the archaeologically rich dwellings of Eritrea, the rolling hills and olive trees of Nea Styra and the quaint fishing villages dotted around the coast. Get ready for a Mediterannean adventure you'll never forget with our 8 Days Family Greek Coast Caique Cruise.
After arriving at Athens International Airport we'll travel as a group to the port of Rafina. Then we'll catch a ferry to the stunning island of Evia. Hop on board and meet the boat crew with a welcome drink. The boat is a traditional family-owned wooden caique with just eight guest cabins that Explore exclusively charters. Settle into your en suite cabin and get ready for adventure.
Evia is still largely undiscovered by the influx of tourists that frequent Greece each year, making it equally spectacular and peaceful. Waterfront taverns dotted along uncrowded beaches, with crystal waters to go swimming in... the perfect Mediterranean trifecta.

We'll start each morning with a delicious continental breakfast with fresh bread, cheese, ham, eggs, Greek yoghurt, and seasonal fruits. After fuelling ourselves for adventure we'll head to Panagia Bay, a quaint fishing village nestled in the refuge of a gorgeous fjord.
After breakfast we set sail for our first destination, the bay of Panagia, a small fishing village lying in the shelter of a fjord. There'll be plenty of opportunities for a quick swim alongside the jagged untamed coastline along the way. In Panagia Bay, we're likely to come across the energetic bundles of shell covered joy that are terrapin turtles. Snorkel among them in the fjord waters and let your worries float away with the current.
From Panagia Bay we'll sail forth to the Gulf of Evia, travelling via Porto Buffalo en route. This small fishing village is famous for its fresh seafood and is home to a gorgeous private lagoon where we can stop off and dive into the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea.
After some time relaxing and swimming we'll head to Eretria, the birthplace of the alphabet so let us enjoy this ancient Greek city! Thousands of years of history are stupid into single stones along with the archaeological sites here and many famous writers have used this place as a muse as a result.
Today we'll explore Eretria in a little more detail by visiting some key archaeological sites and museums. If you'd rather have an ocean filled morning you can opt to snorkel in the azure waters before setting sail for Nea Styra. There are half a dozen pristine beaches here with waters clear enough to spot even the smallest of fish in.
In the afternoon as the sun slowly sinks towards the horizon we'll follow the outline of the hills to reach a bouquet of dense green olive trees that are an essential part of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. After sunset, we'll finish our day at the bay of Marathon, for a glass of wine and a delicious meal on the promenade.
The morning will be free time with breakfast. In the early afternoon, we'll set sail toward Figias and Marmari. The white powder sand and wide beach are perfect for relaxing on, with plenty of taverns and cafes for a spot of lunch dotted along the promenade.
On day 6 we head towards seven private islands to get a taste of what life is like for the 1%. Once a summer holiday special for the Greek royal family, today you can spot the Picasso family and other tycoons enjoying life away from the tourist traps, nestled in a private island paradise.
This archipelago defines luxury and is sure to rejuvenate you and repair any niggles from all the diving and swimming you've been doing! Once we've had our taste of the rich life we set sail for Karystos.
As we hit our final full day we cap things off with a 'peak' experience with a trip to the Castello Rosso on a Venetian mountain! This fortress stands sturdy between the sea corridor of Asia and Europe and adds a historic profundity to the surrounding timeless seascape.
Our final destination will be in Karystos bay in Bouros. We'll drop anchor and hop into the crystal waters of the Aegean for the last time! Tonight we'll stay at a waterfront hotel in Karystos where we'll have the chance to visit the ornate winery estate of Montofoli. What better way to top off a corking holiday than uncorking a bottle of regional red or white and toasting the memories we've made.
Our ferry back to mainland will depart around 10am so we'll have breakfast around 8:30am to make sure we're well fuelled for the trip. Upon arriving on the mainland at 11:30am our trip will officially end and you'll be free to travel home or continue the adventure elsewhere!

If you'd just prefer to stay aboard and enjoy the seascape that's fine, or if you need some aid to float we can arrange that also, the holiday takes place at your own pace!
