People come to London for a whole host of reasons: from business to pleasure, thousands of people walk its bustling streets every day. Visiting the city as a tourist immerses you in the busy city life, so to cram everything into one trip, you need a masterplan. From restaurants and theatres to historical landmarks and open-top bus tours, venturing around the city is a lot of fun.
Before you arrive, decide what you want to see the most: is it the 4 World Heritage Sites, 170 museums, 3,000 parks or numerous other things London has to offer? As the English capital city, you’re likely to spot some famous faces too, so keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready.
Most visitors need between 3 and 5 days in the capital. This is based on the average budget, time and number of things people typically want to see. If you have the luxury, you can easily fill a whole week with activities. Although after 5 days of walking many people want to relax their aching feet.
The London Underground is the easiest way to travel around. You can hop on and off the tube whenever you like, and with so many stations dotted around, you’ll find you’re never too far from one. Your londoncard will include this, or you can use contactless on the underground to tap and go.
The British weather is never reliable, but London doesn’t see as much rain as the myth would lead you to believe. On average, the city sees 106 rainy days a year. But if you head there in the spring and summer months, you’re likely to be pleasantly surprised at the sunshine you find.

Excellent service from start to finish. I booked the National 3 Peasks challenge in 24 hours. i had regular communication from Rob and the team prioe to the event checking in on my progress, which really spurred me on as well as a helpful fitness plan i has to folow. For the challenge itself Rob and Tim really helped put the group at ease, and was very encouraging. Such a credit to business. i would not hesitate at all in recommending bookitlist to friends and family and will define use again in the future. Thank you for pushing me to finish the challenge!
