Day 1- Meeting & Guided Tour Of Cusco

Start off with the customary meet and great of your fellow Inca trail explorers and meet your tour guides for the trip. Then head out into the iconic Cusco, where colonial Spanish architecture and ancient Incan ruins merge to create a unique and culturally bountiful city full of artisan shops and sumptuous local delicacies. Here is where your journey truly begins.

Day 2 - Cusco To Inca Trail

It's time to begin your ascent up one of the world's most iconic treks towards one of the worlds 7 wonders. You'll carve your way through dense forests and cascading waterfalls, witnessing the bountiful Andes flora and fauna that offer a distinct flower or chirping bird around every corner. Once you've ascended to almost 10,000 ft above sea level settle down at Wayllabamba for a nights camping submerged in the rich forestry of the heart of the Inca Trail.

Day 3 - Trekking The Inca Trail

After resting in the heart of the Inca Trail for the night, begin todays trek past mesmerising ancient ruins in a less taxing ascent than day 1. Make haste through the misty cloud forest and soak in the spellbinding views of Urubamba valley. Cap the day off with your arrival in Phuyupatamarca, an archaeological site of Inca ruins which has 5 stone baths which are full of water during the wet season. The views from the ruins here begin to transcend just panoramic as you feel as though you're stood among the clouds and gazing out from a perch in the firmament.

Day 4- Trekking Inca Trail & Arriving At Machu Pichu

The crowning moment has arrive and you'll finally get to step through the Sun Gate and bask in the spectacular wonder that is Machu Picchu. Overflow your camera's storage capacity snapping the ornate details of this ancient ruin and capture the Wayana Picchu (little peak) that has become the iconic photograph that resonates with travellers everywhere. The cocktail of endorphins from the long climb, the unassailable height and sense of stepping among the clouds, and the sheer marvel that is this legendary citadel make for a unique experience that has to be felt first hand to be understood. Tonight we can rest smiling with one more epic adventure ticked off of our bookitlist!

Day 5- Inca Trail To Cusco Via Sacred Valley

Head back to Cusco via the Sacred Valley and take in the beauty of this side of the Andes with a sense of achievement. Once you're in Cusco your adventure is complete, and the next chapter is on you!

A moderate level of fitness is required. You don't need to be very strong or dynamic, just fit enough to walk for the majority of the day with some ascension thrown in for good measure.

The tour will be meeting in Cusco so you're being guided and catered to right from the off and don't need to second guess anything once the trek begins.

Comfortable and quick drying clothes are preferred. It can get humid and warm on the Inca Trail and clothes suitable for long sweaty days are a must.

UK Passport holders do not currently need a visa to enter Peru. If you're not a UK resident simply check the visa status for your nationality with the Peruvian government website.
