No, not really. The Sistine Chapel lies at the end of the tour which takes approximately 2 hours. You can purchase tickets to tours which specifically focus on the Sistine Chapel but you’ll still have to walk through the rest of the museum to get there.
It’s quicker to visit the museums first as it offers an easier route into the Basilica then doing it the other way around.
If you pre-book your tickets online, you’ll only have to join the queue for ticket collection and security which is much shorter.
If you choose to be shown around rather than wandering by yourself, you can expect it to be about 3 hours long.

Excellent service from start to finish. Just come back from completing the 24 hour natinal 3 Peaks Challenge with Bookitlist. 25-27th June 2021. From start to finish the group I was in was well looked after.
