Brits Will Be Welcomed Into Spain From July In New Announcement By The Spanish PM

Spain has been one of the hardest hit countries in Europe alongside Italy and England in regards to the coronavirus pandemic.

That being said there is now light at the end of the tunnel.

The Spanish PM said: "The hardest part is over. We are seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

"Now the epicenter has moved to other parts of the planet, as is happening, for example, on the American continent.

"The response of the Spanish people has been formidable. Everyone has fulfilled their mission and they came together to deal with the epidemic.”

We must begin to restart economic activity...

“Some of these sectors are hostelry and tourism, which have a fundamental role in the creation of employment.

"The moment has arrived. I’m announcing to you that there will be a tourist season this year and I invite all tourist establishments to start to prepare from today to restart their activity in a few days from now.”

According to reports the Spanish government have been quoted as saying tourism would be “in safe conditions” come July.

Huge news for football fans was also revealed as it was confirmed the giants of Barcelona and Real Madrid can resume play as La Liga will be permitted to continue as of June 8th.

In a mark of respect for those fallen, injured and struggling due to the pandemic the country will go into an official period of mourning lasting 10 days.

Flags will fly at half mast as a sign of respect.

The King of Spain, King Felipe VI will hold an official ceremony during this time.

Over 11% of Spain's economy relies on tourism and there is an urgent need to balance the health and safety of the public with the economic imperatives of opening the borders up to tourists once more.

Jose Luis Abalos explained: "From late June, we’ll start tourism activity, I hope… We must make Spain an attractive country from the health point of view.”
