Barbados Welcoming Guests To Stay For A Year!

In a shrewd attempt to bring back visitors, Barbados has decided to open it's arms and offer a 12-month welcome stamp visa. It's not often a pandemic brings about the opportunity to live and work in a slice of paradise so it might be worth looking into.


The visa is targeted towards people who work is not location dependant, anyone from digital nomads to entrepreneurs and web developers can get approved.


The application is pretty simple and it can all be done electronically for extra convenience.


There is a fee application of $2,000 US dollars, but given people pay more for 1 week in Barbados, it doesn't seem so steep. Applicants wont be liable for Barbados income tax which is another benefit for potential visitors.


The islands prime minister Mia Mottley said:


“Covid-19 has changed work globally, with a larger number working remotely from home.


“Now we can give you certainty for the next 12 months that you can work from here.”

Barbados has been one of the few countries complimented for it's swift and professional handling of the virus by installing an effective contact tracing protocol far sooner than most places.


Out of a quarter of a million people Barbados suffered just over 100 cases of the coronavirus and only 7 deaths, making it one of the safest places on Earth in regards to the virus.
