The Amalfi Coast

This captivating stretch of southern Italian coastline is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful on the planet, 50 kilometres of dramatic cliffs, small beaches, and pastel-hued fishing villages, looking out over sun-kissed Mediterranean waters.

In June, average daytime temperatures sit in the mid-20s, and you'll enjoy plenty of sunshine, plus, though a popular time of year for visitors, you'll avoid the throngs that congest the winding coastal roads during the peak summer months.

Zambia

A truly tantalising place, Zambia boasts breathtaking natural beauty that goes well beyond Victoria Falls (one of the largest waterfalls on earth), home to vast lakes and rivers, savanna grasslands and verdant plateaus, along with some of the richest and most diverse wildlife in all of Africa.

There's no better time of year to visit Zambia than June when the weather is dry and warm, but the scenery remains lush and green thanks to the recent tropical rains.

Conditions are equally great for exploring charming mountain villages, or the picturesque towns (like Cannes and St.Tropez to name but a few) as for enjoying the beaches of the famed French Riviera. Provence's world-famous Lavender fields are at their most vibrant, whilst later in the month, you might just catch a glimpse of bright yellow sunflowers. What's more, with peak tourist season not kicking off until July, you'll avoid the throngs of visitors and astronomical prices!

Yosemite National Park, USA

The US' most famous national park, Yosemite embodies the rugged beauty of eastern California.

May and September might be the best times to visit California, but you can't beat June if you're heading to Yosemite. The stunning Tioga Pass driving route is inaccessible between November and late May, but the snow has cleared by June, plus the park's eponymous falls have yet to be dried up by the summer sun. Fiji

In June however, there is plenty of festivities to whet your cultural appetite (such as the excellent Leith Festival), and conditions are generally mild; on occasion, temperatures might even venture into the low 20s!
