Set overlooking Vilamoura's picturesque beachfront, Dom Pedro is one of the best of the Algarve's many golf hotels.
Over the course of 4 days, experience its comfort, luxury, and outstanding hospitality, and enjoy 3 of its excellent 18-hole courses, each of which offers its own unique topography and challenges. During your downtime, take advantage of the hotel's enviable location in the heart of Vilamoura, to enjoy the wealth of attractions on offer, from the postcard-perfect Marina to the Casino, the beautiful beach, and the myriad bars, restaurants, and shops.
Suitable for would-be-pros and beginners alike, this 4-day break is the perfect way to relax with other like-minded golfers. Every detail is taken care of, all you'll need to bring is your swing!
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative who will drive you to the hotel where you'll be shown to your room, and have time to unpack and get settled. Later, you'll enjoy a delicious welcome dinner with the rest of the group. Enjoy a few beers or whiskies, or perhaps an orange juice, and prepare to shave some digits off your handicap the following day.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast you'll be taken to the nearby Dom Pedro Old Course Golf.
Nicknamed the "Grande Dame" of Algarve golf courses, Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club is one of the oldest in the region, and the Frank Pennink-design is highly regarded throughout the golfing world. Dotted with pine trees and encompassing vast undulating landscapes, it is the perfect course for your opening game, and despite its heritage, boasts recently modernised facilities including a state of the art clubhouse.
After the golf clubs are put away, enjoy a drink in the clubhouse and head back to the hotel to spend the remainder of the day as you please.
Your second day will be spent at Dom Pedro Millennium Golf Course. The newest of the three courses, it opened in 2000 and is said to have been integral in cementing the region's reputation as one of Europe's best golfing destinations. Though a more open course than its neighbours, (notwithstanding holes 3-7 which wind between pine trees) it enjoys several interesting features, including a number of lakes that add a challenging edge to the final holes.
After your game, you'll be transferred back to the hotel to enjoy the remainder of the day.
For your final round, you'll head to Dom Pedro Pinhal Golf Course. A challenging course, it is littered with Umbrella and Atlantic pines and is a substantial 6,353 metres from the white tee markers, and has a par of 72, thus demanding both strategy and skill.
After your game head to the clubhouse (which boasts scenic panoramic views) and enjoy a winners ceremony (complete with medals), followed by a leaving dinner before heading back to the hotel from where you'll be picked up and driven to the airport for your flights home.
